Nuclei were pelleted, washed, and lyzed. Lysates were sonicated to reach fragments of 150 to 500bp. Immunoprecipitation was performed with H3K9me3 (Abcam) and H3K9Ac (Diagenode). Antibody-bound chromatin was recovered with protein A dynabeads (ThermoFisher) DNA was eluted, and samples were decrosslinked overnight at 65º, and DNA isolated by phenol/chloroform/isoamyl-alcol followed by QiaQuick PCR purification kit Illumina TruSeq ChIP library prep kit was used to prepare indexed libraries from IP and Input DNA. Libraries were pooled respecting equimolarity Sequencing was performed on Illumina HiSeq2500 sequencer in 100bp paired-end reads
