Spermatocytes at different stages were isolated using FACS sorting. H3K4me3 ChIP-seq libraries were performed from ~10,000 spermatocytes using ULI-NChIP-seq protocol The sequence libraries were generated using the NEBNext Ultra II DNA Library Prep Kit (NEB, E7645S) according to the manufacturer's instructions.
