Briefly, Cells were cross-linked with formaldehyde for 10 minutes (final concentration of 1%). Chromatin Immunoprecipitation was carried out for about 20 millio cells using antibodies against H3K27ac, H3K4me1, or H3K4me3. In more detail, chromatin immunoprecipitation followed by massively parallel sequencing was carried out as previously described (Kasowski et al., 2013). Illumina TruSeq library preparation was used for preparing the libraries of enriched fragments and finally subjected to paired-end sequencing.
