Genomic DNA was extracted using standard methods. ATAC-seq was performed as described (Buenrostro et al., 2015). In brief, transposed DNA fragments were amplified by PCR for 11 cycles after the transposition reaction and purification. The library quality was check by gel electrophoresis. Libraries were sequenced using paired-end sequencing on an Illumina Next seq500.
