Unstriated and unstriped muscle, one of the muscles of the internal organs, blood vessels, hair follicles, etc. Contractile elements are elongated, usually spindle-shaped cells with centrally located nuclei. Smooth muscle fibers are bound together into sheets or bundles by reticular fibers and frequently elastic nets are also abundant. (From Stedman, 25th ed)

ChIP-seq: Cells were fixed with 1% formaldehyde for 10 minutes at room temperature and then quenched with 0.125M glycine for 5 minutes, prior to several washes with ice-cold PBS. Cells were lysed and IPs were performed with the indicated antibody at a ratio of 4ug antibody to 20ug chromatin (for histone modifications) and 10ug antibody to 150ug chromatin (for TRF1/2). ChIP-seq libraries were prepared with the NEB Ultra II Library Prep Kit following the manufacturer´s protocol.
