Euploid male germ cells of an early stage of SPERMATOGENESIS, derived from prespermatogonia. With the onset of puberty, spermatogonia at the basement membrane of the seminiferous tubule proliferate by mitotic then meiotic divisions and give rise to the haploid SPERMATOCYTES.

Spermatogenic cells were isolated from P12 and P18 testes which were digested with collagnease and trypsin followed by filteration through a 40 micron sieve. Cells were fixed in 0.3% formaldehyde at 4 C for 30 min. The resulting chromatin was digested with Mnase prior to immunoprecipitation with antibody. Libraries were created using Kapa hyperprep DNA library kit for Illumina sequencing
