The relatively long-lived phagocytic cell of mammalian tissues that are derived from blood MONOCYTES. Main types are PERITONEAL MACROPHAGES; ALVEOLAR MACROPHAGES; HISTIOCYTES; KUPFFER CELLS of the liver; and OSTEOCLASTS. They may further differentiate within chronic inflammatory lesions to EPITHELIOID CELLS or may fuse to form FOREIGN BODY GIANT CELLS or LANGHANS GIANT CELLS. Cells were fixed with 1% formaldehyhyde. Nulear lysates were made clarified by sonicatio. DNA andprotein complexes were precipitated with antibody ChIP-seq libraries were prepared using Ovation SP Untraflow system (part# 8030) and DR multiplex system 1-8 and 9-16 (part#8033 and 8034) on Mondrian SP workstation.
