Chromatin was extracted from mouse liver after crosslinking with both disuccinimidyl-glutarate and formaldehyde by first extracting liver nuclei and shearing chromatin by Covaris sonication. Chromatin was precipitated using streptavidin agarose to capture biotinylated TRb1. Libraries were prepared using the using the NEBNext ChIP-Seq Library Prep Master Mix Set for Illumina according to the manufacturer's protocol (New England Biolabs).
