Thyroid Gland
MeSH Description
A highly vascularized endocrine gland consisting of two lobes joined by a thin band of tissue with one lobe on each side of the TRACHEA. It secretes THYROID HORMONES from the follicular cells and CALCITONIN from the parafollicular cells thereby regulating METABOLISM and CALCIUM level in blood, respectively.

For ChIP-Seq, Lysates were clarified from sonicated nuclei and histone-DNA complexes were isolated with agarose crosslinked with a GFP-binding peptide. For RNA-Seq, total RNAs from thyroid gland were extracted using a RNAqueous-Micro kit (ThermoFisher Scientific) ChIPed DNA was amplified using a TruSeq RNA Library prep kit. For RNA-Seq, extracted RNA was amplified using a TruSeq RNA Library preparation kit
