Total RNA was collected using the AllPrep DNA/RNA Mini Kit (Qiagen, #80204). Total RNA concentration was determined with the NanoDrop 1000 spectrophotometer (NanoDrop, Wilmington, DE) and RNA quality was assessed with the Agilent Bioanalyzer (Agilent, Santa Clara, CA). The TruSeq RNA Sample Preparation Kit V2 (Illumina, San Diego, CA) was used for next-generation sequencing library construction (as per the manufacturer's protocol) at the Genomics Research Center (GRC) at University of Rochester Medical School (URMC).
