Lungs were perfused with phosphate buffered saline then removed and flash frozen in liquid nitrogen. DNA was extraced using Qiagen's Dneasy Columns. Agilent's SureSelect Methyl-Seq Target Enrichment System for Illumina Multiplexed Sequencing kit was used with 4 ug of DNA for the construction of sequencing libraries. Methyl-seq libraries were preapared for sequencing using SureSelect Human Methyl-Seq Protocol Version B using SureSelect Methyl-Seq Reagent Kit and Mouse Methyl-Seq Capture Library.
