MeSH Description
A nodular organ in the ABDOMEN that contains a mixture of ENDOCRINE GLANDS and EXOCRINE GLANDS. The small endocrine portion consists of the ISLETS OF LANGERHANS secreting a number of hormones into the blood stream. The large exocrine portion (EXOCRINE PANCREAS) is a compound acinar gland that secretes several digestive enzymes into the pancreatic ductal system that empties into the DUODENUM.

100 mcg of chromatin were isolated from purified nuclei of adult mouse pancreas. Aliquoting of biomaterials. Isolated chromatin was sheared to approximately 200-bp with a Bioruptor (Diagenode). Sheared chromatin was treated with 2.6 mcg of affinity-purified rabbit anti-mouse Ptf1a 7, or 10 mcg of rabbit anti-mouse Rbpjl 5 bound to Protein A/G beads (Santa Cruz, Inc.), and washed extensively. An amplified library was prepared from the bound DNA and quantified with an Agilent Bioanalyzer. 0.7 femtomoles were analyzed with an Illumina/Solexa Genome Analyzer.
