MeSH Description
Supporting cells for the developing female gamete in the OVARY. They are derived from the coelomic epithelial cells of the gonadal ridge. Granulosa cells form a single layer around the OOCYTE in the primordial ovarian follicle and advance to form a multilayered cumulus oophorus surrounding the OVUM in the Graafian follicle. The major functions of granulosa cells include the production of steroids and LH receptors (RECEPTORS, LH).

library_construction_protocol
Lysates were clarified from sonicated nuclei and protein-DNA complexes were isolated with antibody. Chromatin was purified by phenol-chloroform extraction and ethanol precipitation. Illumina sequencing libraries were prepared from the ChIP and input DNA by the standard consecutive enzymatic steps of end-polishing, dA-addition, and adaptor ligation. After a final PCR amplification step, the resulting DNA libraries were quantified and sequenced on Illumina's NextSeq 500 (75 nt reads, single end).
